Опорные элементы для сейсмических стен
Turkey is an earthquake zone and has experienced many major earthquakes throught its history. Experiences have shown that new earthquake codes and new design approached should be formed. In this sense, one of the issues to be examined is the non-structural walls. Because these walls are used as perimeter and partition wall in buildings. Structural designer and regulation have not given them enough importance against lateral forces and did not provide specific for their construction. This approach caused loss of life and property during earthquakes. ALTIN CORE wall support elements are U and V shaped and there are additional bed joint reinforement along their direction.
Support must be moisture resistant and stainless. Therefore, galvanized steel has been used in the construction of these supports. ALTIN CORE has designed and produced supports for walls that will minimize damage against lateral forces such as earthquake and wind. In designing the walls, it should be noted that the walls do not prevent the displacement of the structure and also, the capacity of the wall must be greated than the applied force to the walls. As the wall continue moving in one direction, their stability in other direction must be maintained. For this movement to be done correctly, there must be a certain amount of free space (gap) between the wall and column is 1% of the story height. The gap between the beam and the wall is also determined as maximum long time deflection of beam or 25 mm. The gap between wall and column or beam should be filled with Rock Wool, Polstrene and similar materials.
Wall length should be limited to 4 meters and wall height to 3,5 meters. If the length is more than 4 meters and height is more than 3,5 meters, the length and height of the wall should be reduced by using vertical and horizontal members.
