Arcrete Elastomeric Concrete

ArCrete elastomeric concrete is a fast-setting, low-fluid, waterproof, nap-resistant and long-lasting product. It is a three component polyurethane based 100% elastomeric solid concrete.Especially in areas where traffic is intense in the city, it is used very quickly in places where the expansion joint needs to be opened to traffic and repair. The product consists of three main components; resin, hardener and aggregate. The mixture should be prepared in accordance with the proportions indicated on the products. ArCrete is a high-performance polyurethane elastomeric concrete with very fast setting, especially used for repairing and filling of the edges of expansion joints. Due to its high adhesion, it provides an elastic connection between the metal parts of the expansion joint and the concrete bridge surface.

• It has high resistance against chemicals, UV, freeze-thaw, heat shocks, impact and humidity.
• It has high stretching ability and is elastic.
• It is easy to mix and the setting time is short.
• Its compatibility with asphalt is very good.

• The application surface must be clean and dry with less than 10% moisture.
• There should be no foreign materials, salt, oil, various chemicals on the surface.
• Arcrete should be applied on the carrier elements (reinforced concrete slab or steel surface).
• Before this process, primer should be applied to the areas that will come into contact with arcrete.
• The primer provides better adherence of elastomeric concrete to asphalt, steel and concrete and makes it more resistant to high temperatures.
• The hardening time of this material is dependent on temperature.
• The higher the air temperature, the faster it hardens.
• Curing should be applied after application.
• The lowest application temperature is 7 °C.

The time of opening the road to traffic after the Arcrete application;

Between 7 C - 18 C , 3-5,5 hours

Between 18 C - 25 C,  2-3,5 hours

Between 25 C - 35 C,  1-2.5 hours
